Talking to Asky by voice
Last updated About 21 hours ago
With Puffy Plus you can talk to Asky out loud, like a call: you speak, Asky answers by voice, and the conversation stays in the chat.
How to start
- Tap "Asky AI".
- With the message field empty, tap "Voice mode" — the button on the right.
- The first time, allow Puffy to use the microphone.
- Speak when you see "Listening…". Then Asky shows "Thinking…" and "Speaking…".
Each conversation is short: "Time remaining" at the top shows how much is left. The microphone button mutes you. To finish, tap ✕ ("End conversation").
Your words and Asky's replies stay in the chat, marked "Via voice". If Asky offers to change something, a card appears: tap "Confirm" or "Cancel".
Choose Asky's voice
Profile → "Asky AI" → "Voice", then pick a voice.
Limits
- Voice is part of Puffy Plus. On Puffy Light you'll see "Voice is available with Puffy Plus" and "Get Puffy Plus".
- The number of voice conversations a day is limited. The voice screen shows how many are left today. When they run out, you'll see "Today's voice limit is reached" and when voice is available again.
- Voice also needs Asky messages. If they've run out, you'll see "Asky's message limit is reached", and voice comes back when your message limit renews.
If it doesn't work
- "Microphone access is off" — tap "Open Settings" and allow the microphone for Puffy.
- "Couldn't connect" or "Voice is temporarily unavailable" — check your internet connection and try again later.
- If you leave Puffy or a phone call comes in, the conversation ends. Start a new one when you're back.
