💬 Asky
Your AI assistant: what Asky can do, safety and limits
What Asky can do
Asky is Puffy's AI assistant. Asky knows your dog's profile — breed, age, weight, health records, routine and documents — and takes it into account. Asky replies in your language.
Getting started
Tap "Asky AI" in the tab bar. If you talked to Asky recently, that chat opens again; otherwise a new chat starts. A new chat offers ready-made questions about your dog — tap one or type your own in the "Message" field.
- Dictate: tap "Dictate" (the microphone in the message field) and speak. Tap it again to stop.
- Talk out loud: with Puffy Plus, tap "Voice mode" — the button on the right when the field is empty. See "Talking to Asky by voice".
- Add a photo or a document: tap "+" ("Add attachment") → "Take a photo", "Choose from Library" or "Document" (a PDF or an image). Photos are part of Puffy Plus.
- Copy a message: touch and hold it → "Copy".
Asky can make changes
For example, add something to your dog's routine. Before doing so, Asky always shows a card: tap "Confirm" or "Cancel". Asky can't delete your data.
Chat history
Tap "Chat history" (≡) at the top of the chat. There you can:
- find a chat with "Search" at the bottom of the screen;
- swipe a chat to the left to "Rename" or "Delete" it — deleting is immediate, with no confirmation;
- start a "New chat" (+).
The "Messages" card at the top of the history shows how many messages you've used. See "Asky limits".
Asky can make mistakes, and the chat reminds you of that. Asky doesn't replace your vet.
To write a reply, your dog's details are sent to our AI model provider — never to advertisers, and never to train a model.
Asky doesn't replace your vet
Asky doesn't diagnose, prescribe treatment or suggest doses. Asky helps you describe what you're seeing and tells you when it's worth a vet visit. When Asky isn't sure, Asky says so.
If your dog is in trouble right now — for example, not breathing, having a seizure or bleeding heavily — don't wait for a reply. Go straight to a vet clinic.
Asky limits
Asky has a message limit. Puffy Light has a limit, and Puffy Plus has a bigger one. What's left is shown in the app.
Where to see it
Open "Chat history" (≡) in the Asky chat. The "Messages" card at the top shows how many messages you've used and when the limit renews.
When messages run out
- Your message isn't sent and stays in the field, so you don't have to type it again. The chat shows when the limit renews.
- On Puffy Light, tap "Buy subscription" to see Puffy Plus.
- On Puffy Plus, Puffy may offer more messages: tap "Extend", and your message is sent.
- When the limit renews, you can write again. You don't need to restart the app.
Asky cards (âš¡)
The âš¡ button at the top right of the home screen and of Life turns your words into a record card. These cards have their own limit. When it's reached, Puffy says so, and on Puffy Light offers "Upgrade to Plus".
Voice conversations have their own limit too — see "Talking to Asky by voice".
Talking to Asky by voice
With Puffy Plus you can talk to Asky out loud, like a call: you speak, Asky answers by voice, and the conversation stays in the chat.
How to start
- Tap "Asky AI".
- With the message field empty, tap "Voice mode" — the button on the right.
- The first time, allow Puffy to use the microphone.
- Speak when you see "Listening…". Then Asky shows "Thinking…" and "Speaking…".
Each conversation is short: "Time remaining" at the top shows how much is left. The microphone button mutes you. To finish, tap ✕ ("End conversation").
Your words and Asky's replies stay in the chat, marked "Via voice". If Asky offers to change something, a card appears: tap "Confirm" or "Cancel".
Choose Asky's voice
Profile → "Asky AI" → "Voice", then pick a voice.
Limits
- Voice is part of Puffy Plus. On Puffy Light you'll see "Voice is available with Puffy Plus" and "Get Puffy Plus".
- The number of voice conversations a day is limited. The voice screen shows how many are left today. When they run out, you'll see "Today's voice limit is reached" and when voice is available again.
- Voice also needs Asky messages. If they've run out, you'll see "Asky's message limit is reached", and voice comes back when your message limit renews.
If it doesn't work
- "Microphone access is off" — tap "Open Settings" and allow the microphone for Puffy.
- "Couldn't connect" or "Voice is temporarily unavailable" — check your internet connection and try again later.
- If you leave Puffy or a phone call comes in, the conversation ends. Start a new one when you're back.
